Teak Leaf ( Tectona Grandis ) Sealed With String T-Bags
BASIC INFORMATION:
The leaves of the Teak tree (Tectona grandis) have long been used in the same way as Indian Almond leaves (Terminalia Catappa) by South Asian Bagan plakat breeders/keepers. The Teak leaves inside our Teak Leaf Sealed by String T-Bags 4" x 5" are ground and packed into the tea bags which roughly weigh 3 gram and contain 4 teaspoons of Teak Leaf.
Teak Leaf Heat-Sealed T-Bags are another alternative to Indian Almond Leaves for the Aquarium. Bettawan offer Fish Breeders/keepers Heat-Sealed and Sealed by String T-Bags at very reasonable prices. As well as Teak Leaf T-Bags (Tectona Grandis) we also offer an assortment of other T-Bag packages including Indian Almond Bark (Terminalia Catappa), Indian Almond Leaf (Terminalia Catappa) and Catechu Bark (Acacia Catechu).
Teak Leaves (Tectona Grandis) are one of the best water conditioners to promote healing and breeding amongst fish. Teak Leaves are also very popular amongst fish keepers/breeders as a natural medication and water conditioner for their Aquariums. They are believed to aid the fish in a number of ways, they increase fertility, health and vigor. Reduce the Ph in the water, aid in the recovery of diseased / damaged fish (bacterial infections / fungal infections) and the tannin that is released from the Teak Leaves also colors the water. Both the amateur and professional Aquarist also use Teak Leaves to mimic the natural conditions of their fish in their aquarium. By simply adding Teak Leaf T-bags to your aquarium, will release compounds by the Teak Leaf mixture which alter the chemistry of the water, making the aquarium more similar to the habitat from which their fish hails.
MAKING TEAK LEAF TEA:
The Teak Leaf T-Bags can be placed directly into the tank or put into the filtration system. Alternatively, you can put the bags into a cup and add boiling water, leave to cool. The water in the cup will have the appearance of weak tea by the time the water cools and can be added to your aquarium. This will tan the water slightly and provide a very natural stream-bottom look to your aquarium.
Unlike the Indian Almond leaves, Teak leaves do not color your aquarium water the same way, the color is much lighter, so they are ideal for Aquarists who want the benefits of Indian Almond Leaves without the tea stain color.
